It is a great pleasure to present the World Hwa Rang Do Association's 50th Year Gold Anniversary Awards Banquet and International Hwa Rang Do Championships to be held on July 30th & 31st, 2010. (Friday & Saturday) The tournament competition will commence at 1:00 pm Friday, July 30th and continue throughout the weekend at The Wilshire Hotel in the Plaza and Grand Ballroom. A special VIP reception on Saturday will be held for dignitaries, celebrities, event chairs and sponsors to acknowledge their support and contribution to make this event a most memorable success at 5:15pm. This will be immediately followed by the Black Sash Finals competition, a Hwa Rang Do demonstration and then dinner. A video presentation, the awards banquet and entertainment venue will commence after dinner is served on Saturday.

 

This gala event is a moment of remembrance, reflections, accomplishments, and a culmination of the 50 years that Hwa Rang Do has influenced our communities and touched the lives of many throughout the world.

Proceeds realized from the event and from our chairs, sponsors and advertisers after expenses for the event will be utilized towards scholarships in our "at risk youth" programs, expansion of current community service programs such as our ongoing Free Self Defense Classes across the U.S., and ongoing humanitarian efforts across the world.

 

The event will honor Supreme Grandmaster Dr. Joo Bang Lee for bringing this venerable martial art to the public and to acknowledge the efforts of all those responsible for the growth and prosperity of martial way.
