The Camp Hwarang this year was a lot of fun and had some good training. Each morning the Camp started out with a short class and each day with another class to ensure that all the junior participants’ Tae Soo Do skills were on track. After enjoying their lunches, the group participated in some arts and crafts activities, learning how to make masks and fans with Korean decorative art as well as learning how to make the best flying paper airplanes.

The highlight of the event is always the Annual Sleepover and this year was not any different. With a full house of juniors ranging from 4 yrs. old to 12 yrs. old, it was a great time had by all. The night started out with a pizza dinner, followed by some exciting games, HRD/TSD quiz, and ended with a movie presentation. This year, it was the classic that started it all for kid’s martial arts, “The Karate Kid,” and the hilarious spoof, “Shaolin Soccer.”

They can’t wait until next year. If you missed out this, make sure to plan to be there in 2006. |
