Ongoing Women's Self Defence Class

The Women's Self Defence class started in January this year and has proved to be a success.

The class is taught by Black Sashes Kim Buch Madsen and Simon Eklund. This is the first Women's Self Defence Class to be taught at the Danish Hwa Rang Do Headquarters, but judging from its current success it won't be the last.

Exhibitions

Black Sashes and students of the Copenhagen Headquarters have been very busy lately. They have had a couple of major exhibitions. First - it was at the Culture Night Event 2005, which is held annually in celebration of the arts in Copenhagen. It starts off at night and keeps going until next morning with all kinds of diverse cultural events like live jazz bands, performance art, samba, art movies running at theatres all over Copenhagen; and this year Hwa Rang Do was also among the featured artists.

Next exhibition was held at the "Battle of Copenhagen" which is an annual Mixed Martial Sports competition with competitors from all over Scandinavia and Europe. SaBumNim Carsten Jorgensen, and Black Sashes Jon Bagge, Kim Buch Madsen, and Simon Eklund performed quite a nice display of Hwa Rang Do to a very enthusiastic audience.
