The month’s dinner was hosted by the Ginsburg Family.  They graciously opened their beautiful home to the Teuk Gong Team members and Staff of the West Coast Headquarters.  It was a great time had by all, but this month it was a little sad.  Jokyo Eric Rufatt was offered a great job opportunity he could not refuse in Pennsylvania.  The party was also a farewell gathering for Jokyo Rufatt.  We will miss him very much, but as he said in his toast, “There are no goodbyes with family.  I will be back often.”

We maintain “the Law of Conservation of Black Sashes” here at the West Coast.  As one Black Sash leaves another returns home.  Professor Jerry Kang will be returning to Los Angeles and UCLA after his teaching tour at Harvard Law School and Georgetown Law School.  UCLA has offered a fantastic deal to both him and his wife, but when asked what were the reasons for choosing to return to Los Angeles, Prof. Kang answered, “Of course the UCLA offer was very nice, but one of the main reasons for returning to LA was the opportunity for my 4 year old daughter to be trained by Chief Master Taejoon Lee and to have Hwa Rang Do back in our family’s lives.”
