On Sunday, March 6, 2005, the 20th Annual Los Angeles Marathon was held and the West Coast Hwa Rang Do Demo Team was invited to perform at the Korea-town staging area.  There were many performances throughout the day, including Korean Traditional Dance, Korean Hip-Hop artists, and other musicians, but the HRD Team was the only Martial Arts group invited to attend.

The demonstrations included: Knife fighting, full contact fighting, spear and staff forms and fighting, Gotoogi – grappling, fan techniques, awesome aerial kicking.
