On May 1, 2005 Chief Master Taejoon Lee traveled to Seoul, Korea to meet with Chairman Ahn and President Kim of the WHRDA Korean Chapter to further discuss the future development of Hwa Rang Do in Korea as well as to further train Master Kwon Lee to synchronize the Hwa Rang Do curriculum between Korea and the United States. There were many new ideas shared and plans of implementation were developed.

This time, Mrs. Lee (Sa Mo Nim) accompanied Chief Master Lee to Korea. The two week visit ended with a gala fundraising event, which was headed by Sa Mo Nim friend, Ms. Yang Mi Lee, who is the Chairman to a non-profit organization that aids third world countries with medical care through the help of volunteering doctors, dentists, nurses, and business persons. All the proceeds for the food and drinks for the evening went to the non-profit fund. Both Sa Mo Nim and Chief Master Lee also had the opportunity to sponsor some children in need. It was a great event for a great cause.
