A Hwarangdo Green Sash student Kiehn Christensen finally finished his apprenticeship as a carpenter. His final piece for his exam was so outstanding that he obtained the Danish Queen’s Award, which includes a handshake and dinner with the queen that is held every year for the very few selected apprentices deserving of such high honor. He will be meeting the queen of Denmark, Margrethe the 2nd this month. Kiehn is a fine example of taking the idea of striving for excellence in and outside of the dojang. This is no surprise to us since he is a hard worker, an attentive student always seeking knowledge, and very respectful to his fellow Hwarang Brothers and Instructors.
