Tae Jun Sa

This is a group of students on a voluntary admissions policy, who want to make a commitment to becoming a Hwarang Warrior to promote and further spread the Hwarang Spirit throughout the World and working toward the preservation of Hwa Rang Do^® for the next generation. This is an accelerated training program and all members are required to become instructors as well as train and/or compete in the Hwa Rang Do^® Full Contact Program.

The Tae Jun Sa Creed:

Strength - Must possess the strongest of will and determination to prevail against all trials and tribulations.
Courage - Must have the courage to face all forms of harsh criticism and to face the deepest hidden fears within.
Honor - Must have the integrity to uphold all forms of promises made to self and others.

	Name: Scott MacKnight Rank: 3rd Dan Black Sash Bio: Started training with Master Lee in 1985 at UCLA. Since then he has proven to be an invaluable asset to West Coast HRD and the WHRDA. His insights and attention to detail have aided countless students.
	Name: Jerry Kang Rank: 2nd Dan Black Sash Bio: Professor Jerry Kang joined the UCLA faculty in 1995 and was elected Professor of the Year by the Class of 1998. He embraces HRD in the same manner, striving to understand more, and at the same time enlightening others to better understand the world that surrounds them. He is currently teaching at Harvard University of Law for the school year 2003-2004.
	Name: Eric Rufatt Rank: 1st Dan Black Sash Bio: Eric has a very calm demeanor about him. He is able to learn techniques and break them down very well. While this makes him an excellent TGT member, it is no surprise that he is a Manager of Store Systems for Guess.
	Name: Nicholas Day Rank: 1st Dan Black Sash Bio: Student at Palisades High, vocally talented, he's also good at basketball, soccer, and art. Nick has grown up to be not only an excellent HRD warrior, but a great assistant instructor.
	Name: Olivia Vaatete Rank: 1st Dan Black Sash Bio: Chief Administrator/Instructor at West Coast HRD, Mother of 2 and Bridal Designer.
	Name: Matthew Kim Rank: TSD Black Belt, HRD Red Sash Bio: Matthew is a student at Santa Monica High School. He is on the school Wrestling team so it's no wonder he likes to grapple so much. Matthew has also been part of the Santa Monica High Immersion Program for 9yrs.
	Name: William Wright Rank: TSD Black Belt, HRD Red Sash Bio: Recently graduated from Harvard University and has returned to continue his HRD training.
	Name: Heather Hyun Rank: TSD Black Belt, HRD Brown Sash Bio: Sound Editor, Graduated USC, she just returned from one and a half year World travels and is back training harder than ever. She is aspiring to be an M.D., incorporating Eastern and Western medicine together.
	Name: Antonio Goodwin Rank: TSD Black Belt, HRD Blue Sash Bio:
	Name: Luis Santiago Rank: TSD Black Belt, HRD Blue Sash Bio: He is from Olympia, Washington, majored in International Studies, and graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle. Military service brought him and his wife, Chy-Anh, to Southern California and to the WCHRD Academy. A space systems analyst now, he aspires to journey around the planet by motorcycle and photograph the world.
